Champagne Jacquesson, Cuvee N° 741 Dégorgement Tardif Extra Brut
The winter is very cold and snowy, the spring and the beginning of summer remain cold and humid, generating coulure and millerandage and delaying flowering and maturity. August and September are warmer and drier, allowing a late but very good harvest. The Pinot Noirs from Aÿ and Dizy and the Chardonnays from Avize are particularly successful. The harvest is completed by a few reserve wines. ◇212,788 bottles, 8,806 magnums and 302 jeroboams. The main advantage of a late disgorgement is that the wine evolve in an aromatic and gastronomic way, reminding the old vintages but in keeping a great freshness.
This wine has no dosage. It’s mainly made from the great 2013 harvest and it’s a very elegant, fine, and fresh champagne with a very good aging potential.
