Chateau du Cedre, "Le Cedre" Sweet Malbec Vintage

A close cousin of Vintage Porto, it has less alcohol (17% vol) and residual sugar (100g per liter). It presents a very fruity and complex nose of blackberry, cassis and hints of violet, spices and cocoa. Smooth and velvety on the palate, with a long and fresh final.

Chateau du Cedre, "Le Cedre" Sweet Malbec Vintage 2018	93 James Suckling Deep aromas of blueberries, dark plums, mulberries, dried flowers, pine needles and wet earth. Medium-to full-bodied with fine, silky tannins. Structured, but polished, with peppermint and pleasantly bitter chocolate, herb and spice notes at the end. From organically grown grapes. Chateau du Cedre, "Le Cedre" Sweet Malbec Vintage 2022	92 James Suckling Plenty of cassis, dark cherries and blueberries with some dried flowers as well. It’s medium-bodied with round tannins. Mellow and succulent with plenty of juicy berries at the center supported by fresh acidity and a spicy lift towards the finish. From organically grown grapes. No sulfites added. Drink or hold.
