Domaine Berthet-Rayne, Chateauneuf du Pape "Cuvee Cadiac" 2017	90 Wine Advocate A 50-50 blend of Grenache and Mourvèdre, sourced from parcels in Coudoulet and Chapouin and aged in new oak, the 2017 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Cadiac is a bit of a letdown now that it’s in bottle, with a bit too much wood and not enough intrinsic complexity. Dark, smoky notes dominate the nose, although hints of plummy fruit and black olives peek through. It’s medium to full-bodied, with an attractive, silky feel and ample concentration.
