Jean-Claude Bachelet, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Macherelles 2020	90-92 Vinous The 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Macherelles 1er Cru presents a finely tuned nose of citrus lemon, peach skin and touches of candle wax and crushed stone.The palate is clean and precise on the entry, then very smooth and harmonious, offering seductive peachy, mango notes. Not amazingly complex on the finish, yet there is fine persistence and sensibility to this Chassagne. 92 Wine Advocate Notes of minty green pear, white flowers, nutmeg, cantaloupe melon and freshly baked bread preface the 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Macherelles, a medium to full-bodied wine with a satiny attack that segues into an ample but racy mid-palate. The palate is medium-bodied with bitter lemon on the entry, quite taut and just maybe missing the harmony and length of Bachelet’s other cuvées on the finish. 91 Wine Advocate Open and charming, the 2021 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Macherelles offers up aromas of white flowers, pear and peach mingled with buttered toast and nuts.
