Domaine La Roubine, Vacqueyras 2020	94 James Suckling Considerably richer and more powerful than the lighter 2021, tasted alongside. Yet not at all heavy, with a supple tannic build, draped over a dusty carriage of clove, leather, incense and five-spice. Violet, mulled cherry, olive paste and garrigue, too. Very good Vacqueyras. Domaine La Roubine, Vacqueyras 2022	90 Decanter Soft and silky in style, enjoyably full-bodied, this is ripe, with ample fruit, balanced alcohol and good acidity. Altogether harmonious and very drinkable, this is an elegant style of Vacqueyras that comes highly recommended. 93 James Suckling Oodles of kirsch, violets and peppercorns, with just an edge of verdant herb, attesting to the altitude of the site and the cooler, more challenging vintage. This is still rather tightly furled and distinctly medium-bodied of feel, revealing little but puppy fat. The tenacity in the finish and energy, however, suggest that plenty is to come.
