The bouquet is appealing, apple and citrus, without the lime notes of vineyards higher on the hill. Beautifully balanced, both nuanced and with points of energy, ripe fruit without undue flesh, racy and long. Drink from 2027-2036. Tasted: October 2023. 94 Tim Atkin Such a classic Puligny, this starts with a dusting of white spring flowers and crushed yellow apples. The scintillating, heady acidity carries the mid-weight palate into a reasonably long finish with hints of rockpool. In the deep cellar of Sauzet Premier Cru wines, this may be among the best to drink first given its open-knit texture. 92-94 Vinous The 2022 Puligny-Montrachet Les Perrières 1er Cru has a lovely bouquet with hints of white peach and vanilla infusing the crushed limestone scents. Very precise. The palate is linear and taut, but there is real weight here.
