GranBazan Albarino "Don Alvaro"
Only in the best vintages: Made from grapes from old vines from the highest part of the Tremoedo estate. Very poor soils, with little fruit load, where leaf removal, green pruning has been done and the incidence of sun on the clusters is very high. The size of the berry is noticeably smaller than average. Cold maceration, fermentation at a very low temperature followed by a 12-month rest on the lees, giving the wine an extra dimension of aromas and roundness in the mouth. Perfect evolution in bottle for up to 5 years.
Tasting note: Opaque yellow color with golden reflections. The nose expresses yellow fruit, candied mango, quince and mandarin on a slightly herbal background reminiscent of fennel, chamomile and green tea, with subtle notes of beeswax and leather. In the mouth the acidity dominates at the beginning and gives way to a tasty unctuousness, the tension is prolonged and precedes a pleasant salinity that accompanies its long journey.
