Miles Madeira, Tinta Negra Rich 2000	92 Wine Advocate The sweet 2000 Tinta Negra Rich had a long élevage in 650-liter oak barrels at room temperature, which produced evaporation and concentration in the wine, which translates into more acidity (8.9 grams) and more sugar (138 grams); they compensate each other but make the wine come in a larger style. It’s very spicy with notes of meat broth, cigar box and an herbal side. This is older and has more complexity. It’s sweet, round and lush. 1,123 bottles and some larger formats produced.
