The 2021 Cotes de Tablas opens with a stunning, Grenache-driven blend of dusty florals and citrus-tinged strawberries. There’s a pleasant inner sweetness up front, along with tart wild berry fruits and zesty acidity. This tapers off with dramatic length and spicy, leaving the mouth watering. Licorice resonates over a coating of fine tannins. Cotes de Tablas is a blend of 47% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 15% Counoise and 8% Mourvèdre, all raised in neutral oak.

Still in barrel, the 2021 Côtes de Tablas is a blend of 47% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 15% Counoise and 8% Mourvèdre. It opens with some tarry reduction at this stage over a core of blueberries, blackberries and cranberries, plus touches of underbrush and citrus peel. The medium-bodied palate is soft and supple, with a balance of concentrated, detailed flavors and mouthwatering acidity, and it boasts a long finish with alluring spicy accents. It is due to be bottled in February of 2023 and 1,100 cases are expected to be made.

Dusty and oral, the 2023 Cotes de Tablas wafts up with a delicate blend of violet pastille, incense and woodland berries. Playful and energetic, it splashes across the palate with a core of tart wild berry fruit and a hint of citrus enlivened by zesty acidity. The 2023 leaves the palate completely refreshed, with an air of lavender and tart blackberry concentration that curls the tongue. Mineral tension speaks through this beautiful blend of 66% Grenache, 18% Syrah, 8% Counoise and 8% Mourvèdre.
