This wine has notes of red and black cherry, violet and spice. The light but welldefined licorice-tinged bouquet opens nicely with aeration. The medium-bodied palate offers succulent black cherries and cassis on the entry and fine acidity. The finish is a bit tight but with time it softens. It’s the perfect representation of the style of Chambolle Musigny with a lot of finesse and silkiness at the beginning. This wine always offers a little bit more structure and tannins due to the deep soils.

Thibault Liger Belair, Chambolle-Musigny Villages 2016	91 Wine Advocate The 2016 Chambolle-Musigny Villages comes from nine parcels spread over six lieux-dits and includes 30% whole cluster with a long cuvaison and four pigeages. It has a clean, pure, charming bouquet with small red cherries, rose petals and just a hint of truffle—the whole bunch here deftly integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe red and black fruit infused with oyster shell, focused and taut with just a touch of spice toward the finish.
