N/Apts BURGHOUND.com– 2014 vintage
FOR THE 2014 VINTAGE
(from 1er cru Taillepieds plus five village lieux dits) An elegant, fresh and pretty nose features notes of essence of red cherry along with background nuances of lilac and tea. There is both good volume and energy to the nicely rich but focused flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the ever-so-mildly austere finale. This is succulent, indeed even opulent and should be reasonably accessible young if desired

FOR THE 2015 VINTAGE
from 5 different lieux-dits : A ripe, fresh and pretty nose combines notes of various red berries, soft earth and ample floral nuances. There is a discreet bead of minerality suffusing the dense yet sleek middle weight flavors that deliver solid depth and length
N/Apts The Wine Advocate– 2016 vintage
FOR THE 2016 VINTAGE
A blend of five different vineyards, four of them from clayey soils at the bottom of the incline, the 2016 Volnay Village has an elegant raspberry and cranberry-scented nose with subtle freshly tilled earth/loam scents underneath. The palate is well balanced with juicy ripe tannin, crisp cranberry and wild strawberry fruit with an almost Pommard-like structure on the chalky finish. Very fine.
