Clos Figueras Font de Figuera Priorat White

Pale gold. Fragrant bouquet evokes nectarine, orange zest, white flowers and honey. Sappy, spice-accented orchard and pit fruit flavors show very good clarity and a juicy quality. Energetic and focused on the finish, which lingers with impressive tenacity and spiciness.

N/Apts The Wine Advocate– 2016 vintage

FOR THE 2016 VINTAGE
The one white produced here is the 2016 Font de la Figuera Blanco, a blend of Viognier, Garnacha Blanca and Chenin Blanc from a year with moderate alcohol (but still 15%) and more acidity. The Viognier fermented in stainless steel, the rest in new French barriques, and then it was kept in stainless with the lees for six months. It’s clean, fresh, pleasant, lively and balanced. The acidity is moderate, which makes the mouthfeel quite soft and approachable. 3,406 bottles were filled in February 2017

N/Apts The Wine Advocate– 2015 vintage

FOR THE 2015 VINTAGE
You have to be guided by the palate, which showed lively and mineral, with acidity and freshness I didn’t expect in a vintage like 2015. It’s an unusual 55/40/5 blend of Viognier, Garnacha Blanca and Chenin Blanc that, if it can overcome the sulphur, should blossom into a mineral white. There are 2,731 bottles produced.
