The Font de la Figuera from young vines has an excellent deep ruby colour with an open sweet bouquet of black cherries and the classic Priorat mineral tones. Soft and approachable on the palate this wine can be enjoyed young but will continue to gain in stature for 10 to 12 years after bottling.

FOR THE 2012 VINTAGE
(aged in used French oak barrels for one year): Deep ruby. Vibrant blackberry and cherry aromas are complicated by suggestions of spicecake and candied lavender. In the mouth, pliant red berry and bitter cherry flavors, with an enlivening hint of white pepper gaining strength on the back half. The very long and incisive finish is given shape by fine-grained tannins and leaves a subtle floral pastille quality behind.
