Vintage

From 80+ year old vines located in the lieux dits, Le Créot and Pince-Vin.  This red wine has a very clear, beautiful color. The nose is a complex aromatic palette of black fruit, combining fruity, floral and spicy notes. The consistency on the palate is associated with a velvet texture and a beautiful viscosity. The liveliness of this wine sets off its consistency. It is a classic, sensual Gevrey.
Violet and liquorice appear in retro-olfaction, followed by a hint of white pepper, which highlights the complexity. All these elements underline its place in the family of great Gevrey wines. It will go well with beef in all modes, game, civets, a braised veal chop, calf liver and cumin gravy, or a capon stuffed with mushrooms and foie gras, served with the meat juices.

N/Apts Jancis Robinson– 2014 vintage

FOR THE 2014 VINTAGE
(from 80+ year old vines) (16.5+/20) Dense and dark and very concentrated. Not elegant but with lots of impact.

N/Apts BURGHOUND– 2015 vintage

FOR THE 2015 VINTAGE – OUTSTANDING TOP VALUE!
(from 80+ year old vines located in the lieux dits of Le Créot and Pince-Vin) This is riper still yet not roasted with its dense combination of cassis, black cherry, spice and sauvage-scented nose. The medium-bodied flavors possess so much dry extract that the mouth feel is positively opulent, even lush though the underlying minerality and acidity helps to keep this very well-balanced. This is a seriously impressive Gevrey villages!

N/Apts The Wine Advocate– 2015 vintage

FOR THE 2015 VINTAGE
It has a ripe kirsch and raspberry preserve scented bouquet. The palate is soft on the entry with low acidity compared to others, earthy and savory in style with a touch of white pepper and tobacco surfacing towards the finish. Approachable Gevrey-Chambertin that should drink well for several years, this is a delightful wine.
