This Bodega, situated in the famous village of San Roman de Hornija, was started by the two Victorias; Victoria Benavides and Victoria Pariente. The vision for the project in-cluded production of both white wines from Rueda and red wines from Toro. Recently, the Victorias have separated their winemaking facilities, with the Bodega in Toro renamed Bod-egas Elias Mora, to better concentrate on production of each type of wine to its highest possible quality.

Tech Sheet

94pts Vinous – Antonio Galloni – 2010 vintage

“Inky purple. Flamboyant aromas of cherry liqueur, blackberry, vanilla, In-dian spices and dark chocolate, with a mineral flourish adding vivacity. Sweet, pliant and seamless on the palate, offering palate-staining black and blue fruit flavors and sugges-tions of floral pastilles, cola and mocha. Finishes with harmonious tannins and superb persistence, leaving sweet blueberry and lavender notes behind. This fruit was sourced from a plot of vines more than 70 years old, with the yield only around 15 hectoliters per hectare.”

94pts Wine Enthusiast – 2010 vintage

“Cool, alluring aromas of ripe blackberry and fine oak are complete and highly attrac-tive. A deep palate offers excellent balance, while flavors of cassis, blackberry, oak and delicate spices finish with power, elegance, length and an overriding sense of high qual-ity. Drink through 2028.”
