It is an inky, spicy Cahors endowed with red and black fruits and smoked fig and liquorice flavours. A mixture of new and old oak, the top cuvees are made from low yields and the oldest vines on the estate. The grape variety here is Malbec, supplemented by smidgeons of Merlot and Tannat.

FOR THE 2015 VINTAGE
Dominated by 90% Malbec, this is the main estate wine of this producer. Its tannins are there, although they are relatively smooth and certainly balanced by the great black fruits. The wine is still young. Drink from 2020.

91pts Wine Enthusiast– 2016 vintage

FOR THE 2016 VINTAGE
The estate wine from this producer, this is firm and tannic while also bursting with black fruits. Ripe blackberry flavors are generous, still hiding behind the structure but ready to come forward. This wine will be ready from 2021.
