Blackberry, licorice, rosemary, sensimilla, spiky red lavender and lashings of cold, dark rock smells. The palate has lovely sweet tannins, flourishing a strong, happy, alive wine with great freshness. Meaty fruit is tannin-studded, bristling with cobs of briar, nuanced with baking spices (fenugreek, white pepper and clove), red licorice and anise.

92pts Wine Advocate– 2017 vintage

There is unusual and unexpected freshness in the 2017 Martinet Bru, produced from three vineyards planted with dierent varieties that cofermented in concrete. It matured in oak foudres and barriques (25%), with a few months at the end in terracotta amphorae. It’s very relaxed and harmonious, approachable but not banal, with ne tannins. 40,000 bottles produced.
