The palate, very fine tannins seduce on a floral fruity, with a mineral touch of the most beautiful effect. Very good overall balance.

FOR THE 2016 VINTAGE
Offering up pretty aromas of yellow orchard fruit, pears and preserved citrus, Lorenzon’s 2016 Montagny 1er Cru Les Truffières is medium-bodied, bright and textural, with a generous attack that gives way to a tensile, concentrated mid-palate and a saline finish. This is a terrific wine that ranks among the best two or three wines being produced in the appellation.

FOR THE 2017 VINTAGE
A rare excursion outside Mercurey for Bruno Lorenzon (the vineyard belongs to his wife), this superb site faces south but enjoys cool breezes from the hills. It’s smooth, profound and textured with scented oak and impressive concentration.
