Ca La Bionda Casal Vegri Valpolicella Classico Superiore doc Rosso

This is a wine of great concentration: the nose is brimming with sour cherries and small forest fruits. The same fruits continue on the palate which reveals a generous body, a smooth and silky mouth feel and a long finish. This wine is an ideal accompaniment to roast meats and pan fried steak.

N/Apts The Wine Advocate– 2016 vintage

FOR THE 2016 VINTAGE
The 2016 Valpolicella Classico Superiore Campo Casalvegri (a blend of 70% Corvina, 20% Corvinone with 10% Rondinella and Molinara). The wine is pressed from fresh, organically farmed fruit, and there is no appassimento here. For this reason, the wine offers extra freshness and brightness with forest berry, sour cherry and some sweet almond on the close. The interesting thing about this wine is that it is made with fruit from a vineyard earmarked specifically for this wine. In most other cases, a Valpolicella Classico Superiore is a secondary selection of fruit from the same vineyard plots that make other wines, such as Amarone or Recioto. Production is exactly 19,760 bottles.
