A great Pauillac is not necessarily destined to be austere for the first fifteen years of its existence, as is demonstrated by Pédesclaux which instantly impresses with its dense and charming style.

91pts James Suckling– 2012 vintage

FOR THE 2012 VINTAGE
This shows much more clarity than the 2011. Aromas of currants, lead pencil and flowers. Blueberries, too. Full body, ultra-fine tannins and beautiful fruit. This is a wine that shows finesse and structure for the vintage. Very polished and well made. Try in 2018.

N/Apts Guide Hachette– 2012 vintage

FOR THE 2012 VINTAGE
**2 STARS (excellent) Well-built wine with a dark red color. An expressive bouquet of mineral aromas, black fruits and spices. Well-structured with solid tannins, the palate leaves a nice sensation of balance, enhanced by a length of minerality. A nice Pauillac.

91pts Vinous – Antonio Galloni– 2012 vintage

FOR THE 2012 VINTAGE
The 2012 Pédesclaux has been superb on both occasions I have tasted it recently. One of the real sleepers of the vintage, the 2012 is endowed with terrific depth and tons of personality. Dark cherry, raspberry, tobacco and wild flowers add multiple shades of dimension. This is a superb showing from Pedesclaux and proprietor Jacky Lorenzetti. The 2012 is 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. There can be little doubt Pedesclaux is a property to watch.
