Thanks to the quality of its soil and its situtation, the Clos de Tart Grand Cru combines the strength of a Chambertin and the elegance of a Musigny. “It can please both the hedonists who are looking for immediate pleasure and the aesthetes who are immediately aware of its refined texture and delicate tannins.

94pts Wine Spectator– 2013 vintage

FOR THE 2013 VINTAGE
A ripe, flamboyant style, boasting cherry, strawberry and baking spice flavors. Balanced and fresh, with firm tannins shoring up the long finish. Best from 2019 through 2035.

94+pts Vinous– 2013 vintage

FOR THE 2013 VINTAGE
Dark red with ruby highlights. Cool aromas of blackberry, black cherry, licorice, wild herbs, woodsmoke and black pepper. Sappy and fine- grained, showing piquant peppery lift to the dark fruit, spice, mineral and mint flavors. Less sweet than the 2014 but with captivating freshness and aromatic lift in the middle palate. Very young, weightless wine with a serious tannic spine and superb incipient complexity. — Stephen Tanzer
