Coeur du Terre Heritage Pinot Noir

Coeur de Terre Vineyard’s Estate grown fruit only, using a selection from Renelle’s Block, Sarah Jane’s Block, Abby’s Block, and Tallulah’s Run. The Estate bottling makes use of vibrant fruit from younger vines combined with more mature fruit from Renelle’s Block for structure and balance. All CdT Vineyard blocks are farmed organically. Tasting Notes: Beautifully capturing one if not the coldest Oregon vintage in recent history, this wine is bound to become a classic expression of Oregon Pinot Noir. It first impresses with a beautiful delicate shitake mushroom and wild cherry nose followed by Pacific NW forest floor aromas and spices. On the palate, the wine is deeply textured and presents itself with all the classic signatures of a cool vintage: minerality and earth. The finish is extremely long. It will age well over the next 7+ years.

N/Apts Wine Enthusiast– 2015 vintage

FOR THE 2015 VINTAGE
There’s a palate-reviving snap to this wine, which opens with ripe, juicy flavors of blackberries. A streak of mocha carries it along, and there’s a hint of something akin to eucalyptus as well.

N/Apts Vinous – Antonio Galloni– 2013 vintage

FOR THE 2013 VINTAGE
Limpid red. Smoke- and spice-tinged aromas of red currant and dried cherry, along with hints of game and white pepper in the background. Juicy and focused on the palate, offering bitter cherry and red berry flavors that slowly deepen and spread out on the back half. Shows a slightly rigid quality on the nervy finish, which leaves cherry pit, smoked meat and rhubarb notes behind.

90pts Wine Enthusiast– 2014 vintage

FOR THE 2014 VINTAGE
This barrel selection brings bright flavors of salmonberry and raspberry, with highlights of citrus peel. It’s precise and tart; less ripe than many wines from this warm year, but balanced and focused.
