Manual harvest from a selection of our estate vineyards. After desteming, the grapes were fermented in 12,300 liters stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature between 82 and 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Total maceration time was between 15 to 20 days. The wine was placed into a mix of used French and American oak. Racking was done every 6 months. After two years in barrel, the wine was bottled and spent another two years in our underground cellars.

98pts James Suckling– 2007 vintage

FOR THE 2007 VINTAGE
A very powerful red with the structure and intensity of a great Rioja from the 1950s, 1960s or 1970s. Real gran reserva. Dried fruits such as plums, prunes and cherries. Hints of figs too. Layered and so structured. Full-bodied and chewy yet intense and persistent. A fabulous wine. So much potential here. Better in 2020

97pts James Suckling– 2012 vintage

FOR THE 2012 VINTAGE
Fabulous aromas of black tea, soya, cinnamon, and dark fruits. Very floral. Full body, very deep and beautiful. Superb depth of fruit. The tannins are total melted in the wine. Wonderful finish. Drink in 2021
