91pts Wine Spectator– 2017 vintage

“Beautifully fragrant, with violet and black tea notes that echo through the tangy raspberry and steeped cherry flavors, marked by licorice and mineral elements. Offers a long, lightly tannic finish. Drink now through 2023. 600 cases made, 300 cases imported.

93pts Vinous– 2017 vintage

“Brilliant violet. Primary red/dark berries on the highly perfumed nose, along with suggestions of exotic spices and succulent flowers. Penetrating, spice-laced black raspberry, bitter cherry and violet pastille flavors stretch out and become sweeter with air, picking up a smoky mineral quality. Rich, in the style of the year, but lively as well. Finishes very long and juicy, with repeating florality and smooth, harmonious tannins that lend grip.”
