Domaine Stephane Ogier Cote Rotie La Cote Blonde

The first vintage for this wine. Beautiful notes of black raspberry, cassis, spring flowers, violet and incense, with a great minerality and a deep flesh of Syrah. This full-bodied Côte Rôtie. beautifully concentrated and finesse, reveals soft tannins and a seamless texture that does not. Pure fruit and an incredible quality of tannins. Wait at least 4 to 5 years.

97pts Wine Spectator– 2015 vintage

“Solidly built, with a warm cast iron note that runs from start to finish, accompanied by dark currant, fig and plum paste flavors. Steeped anise, smoldering gunpowder tea and bergamot accents add nuance throughout. Grippy for sure, but the fruit easily soaks it all up in the end. Best from 2024 through 2040.”

95pts Wine Advocate– 2015 vintage

“In its first year to return as a single-vineyard bottling, Ogier’s tiny 2015 Côte-Rôtie La Côte-Blonde is a sure hit. Floral, raspberry aromas speak to its elegance, while it’s also concentrated and rich, with a silky finish that lasts minutes.”
