The crisp, light-bodied, pungent, potent non-vintage Light Fino Jarana is redolent of the smells and flavors of roasted nuts.

The Fino Jarana Solera Reserva is also very good. These sherries, for which the Spanish have a voracious appetite (especially with their culinary treasure that is the result of their exceptional ham culture), work exceptionally well with sashimi and sushi. Don’t take my word for it. Give it a try and you will be amazed. (08/2012)

A classic Fino, this is precise in its structure and completely dry. With its mineral notes of iodine and salt, light hints of nuts and green olives and refreshing acidity, it’s almost addictive, especially if you have prawns sautéed in garlic and herbs on hand. (10/2015)

Shows a light rancio note, with a cheesy hint giving way to rather salty lemon pulp, jicama and chalk accents. Whiffs of straw and nectarine lend some depth and flesh to the finish. Drink now. (08/31/2014)
