This dense, full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon is packed with cassis, blackberry, pomegranate and warm vanilla notes in the nose. The tannins are refined but still have texture. It lingers across the palate, imparting a long, polished finish that was developed in part from aging in new French oak barrels.

Cherry-candy and dark-fruit aromas are followed by medium-bodied coffee and cherry flavors. The tannins seem a bit bunched up.

Healthy red-ruby. A sexy touch of reduction to the aromas of dark raspberry, mocha, licorice pastille and tobacco leaf. Concentrated, ripe and smooth, and particularly vibrant for this bottling, offering captivating inner-mouth floral lift to its rather plush flavors of raspberry and sexy oak. I find this distinctly riper and more textured than the Columbia Valley Merlot. And it should age gracefully. Drink through 2026.
