2015 is the first vintage of this rare, white wine from denomination of origin Campo de Borja. It is produced from the la Blasa vineyard, the only plot of Garnacha Blanca (white-skinned Grenache) the winery owns. The vines are 15 years old and grow in clay-loam soils with fewer stones than the vineyards for the red wines. Grapes were harvested on September 21, 2015. The grapes go direct to press upon arrival to the winery and are protected from oxidation with a blanket of CO2 gas while pressing. The wine was fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks and aged on fine lees for nearly 6 months prior to bottling.
91pts Wine Review Online– 2017 vintage
I’m much more familiar with Garnacha Blanca from Catalonia than Aragon, but this is a very convincing rendition of the variety. Medium-bodied, with open fruit flavors recalling white melon, tangerine and autumn pear, this is quite juicy and flavorful when first sipped, but then shows a more taut, citrus character in the finish. This sensory transition from a broad fore-palate to a linear aftertaste will help this work well with a very wide variety of foods, including anything from a roasted chicken to shellfish dishes such as shrimp or mussels. Delicious, and a very attractive bargain.

The 2017 Garnacha Blanco from Legado del Moncayo shows nicely measured ripeness in this vintage, coming in at 13.5 percent octane and delivering a fine bouquet of pear, a touch of coriander seed, raw almond, salty soil tones, a bit of wild fennel and a topnote of dried flowers. On the palate the wine is crisp, full-bodied and very nicely soil-driven in personality, with a lovely core, fine focus and grip and a long, complex finish. This is very, very good Garnacha Blanco and an absolute steal at $15 per bottle here in the states! 2019-2025.

Crisp, spicy, citrus and pineapple nose. Creamy and soft on the attack with a nice mineral touch on the finish. Clean and simple.
