92pts Decanter Magazine– 2016 vintage
FOR THE 2016 VINTAGE
Rossignol normally bottles his two Savigny premiers crus, Les Lavières and Les Fourneaux, separately, but the low yields of the vintage compelled him to combine them into a wine that reflects the elegance of the former and the hearty richness of the latter. A complex bouquet of strawberry and dark wild fruits mingles with notes of spice, leading into an elegant, supple wine with good depth and dimension. On the finish the firmer frame of Fourneaux makes itself felt.
