Stephane Ogier Cotie Rotie Reserve 1.5L

Marked by an unmistakable deep purple hue and savory aromatics, Syrah makes an intense, powerful and often age-worthy red. Native to the Northern Rhône, Syrah achieves its maximum potential in the steep village of Hermitage and plays an important component in the Red Rhône Blends of the south, adding color and structure to Grenache and Mourvèdre.

Tech Sheet

95pts Wine Spectator– 2015 vintage

“Features dark currant, fig and boysenberry preserve flavors that are densely concentrated and supported by authoritative grip built on graphite and cast iron accents. Ganache, black tea, singed bay leaf and juniper notes add detail and range through the finish, where latent minerality lurks in reserve. Best from 2025 through 2040.”

92-94pts Vinous– 2015 vintage

“Dark purple. Potent smoke- and mineral-accented aromas of dark berry preserves, cherry liqueur and pungent flowers take on a hint of peppery spices. Spicy and taut on entry, then round and vibrant in the mid-palate, offering concentrated black raspberry, cola and violet pastille flavors given lift and spine by juicy acidity. Finishes bright, minerally and very long, displaying harmonious tannins and resonating floral and dark berry notes.”

93pts Wine Advocate – 2015 vintage

“The 2015 Côte-Rôtie Réserve is rich, velvety-textured and long. Raspberries and herbal notes are joined by hints of cured meat in this medium to full-bodied wine. It should drink well for up to 15 years.”
